Import a MySQL database

Before you can import a MySQL backup, you must first create the database. If you are not sure how to do this, please first see the appropriate article "Create a MySQL database".

Prerequisites

  • You must have already created the MySQL database.

How-to Steps

  1. Login to cPanel and open phpMyAdmin.
  2. Click the database name in the top left.
  3. Click 'Import'.
  4. Browse to the .sql file on your local computer and click 'Go'
