The Velocity VPS Hosting platform provides management functionality (including the ability to delete backups) within the client area. This is a convenience but can also be a considerable risk for mission critical services. We strongly recommend that customers take steps to secure client area access by using strong passwords and enabling 2FA.
Enabling 2FA
1. Each client user should login to the client area.
2. Clients can configure 2FA in the Client Area at Hello, Name! > Security Settings.
3. Click to Enable and scan the QR code with Google Authenticator. (Copy and store securely the recovery code provided during the process).
Warning: Entity Data Support will not disable 2FA upon immediate request. There is a process involved and we strongly recommend managing 2FA in a way that you do not loose access to the client area.
