What to check: The first thing to do is go here http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and enter the domain of a website hosted on your server. If the result comes back that it's "just you", the first thing to check should be cPHulk Brute Force protection - If you have entered the wrong password against an account on your server too many times, cPHulk will block your IP for a given amount of time, usually 15 minutes. Clicking 'Flush DB' will clear the logs and remove your IP from the blacklist. If you have a static IP, you can also whitelist it on the White/Black List Management tab to prevent further lockouts. Login/Brute History Report will tell you which accounts have suffered authentication failures and the IP address of the offending workstation/office location so you can check to ensure the correct passwords are being used. The other possibility is that you have CSF firewall installed and this may also have blocked the offending IP address. If applicable, this should checked also. |
